Job Information
As a Program Assistant, You will maintain communication and assist with meeting client needs in a fast paced environment, ensure the effective and efficient schedule coordination, information research, and system coordination. You will act with outside organizations to coordinate information and referrals according to the policies and procedures of the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) and act to ensure that clients receive optimal care. You may be required to assist with other activities, such as scanning and linking documents to the Electronic Medical Records (EMR's).
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
Completion of high school / secondary school diploma program (grade 12) and
- Completion of a Medical Office Assistant diploma program, OR,
- Having at least one (1) year experience in a medical or health care facility as a clinic/program assistant along with successful completion of a Medical Terminology course.

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is from $37.07 per hour to $44.28 per hour (approximately $72,287 - $86,346.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
