Description

The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for experienced Labourers/Fuel Truck for work located on our Winter Road Project in NUNAVUT.
 
 
Nuna is the largest Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks, and mine construction contractor in Canada.
 

We offer:

  • 4 week on / 2 week off rotations; 12-hour days  (Dayshift and Nightshift) (Fly in / Fly out)
  • Competitive hourly rates with Overtime pay (1.5x),
 

Responsibilities

 
  • Load and unload construction materials
  • Manual labor including shoveling, sweeping, raking
  • Working around heavy equipment
  • Assist heavy equipment operators; spotting of trucks and other heavy equipment
  • Previous experience operating a Fuel Truck
  • Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities;
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently to meet production targets;
  • Maintains equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns;
  • Complete production reporting and other documentation as required;
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members;
  • Previous experience operating above mentioned equipment in a road building, ice roads, mining, and/or industrial setting;
  • Working in remote locations in a camp setting
  • Experience with radio communications and protocols
  • Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness

Qualifications

 

    • Previous experience in the role applying for  preferably with or winter or ice road experience.
    • Must be 18+ years old.
    • Must be willing to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
    • Willing and capable of committing to a 4x2 rotation.
