The Department of Education, Culture and Employment (ECE) provides the residents of the Northwest Territories with access to quality programs, services and support to assist them in making informed and productive choices for themselves and their families with regard to education, training, careers, employment and labour, child development, languages, culture and heritage.
Job Information
As the Junior Kindergarten to grade 6 (JK-6) Curriculum Coordinator you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the development, implementation, in-service and evaluation of JK-6 school curriculum for all educational jurisdictions in the Northwest Territories to ensure that students receive a high quality of education that meets their needs.
You will work collaboratively with ECE staff, Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) Departments, NWT Teachers’ Association, Indigenous Governments, education bodies, and colleagues and educators from across the NWT, British Columbia, Yukon, Nunavut, and other jurisdictions in Canada, often in a team-based approach, following current foundational frameworks and their corresponding action plans.
To be successful in this role you will typically need a Degree in Education or related field, and three (3) years of relevant experience, including one (1) year of teaching experience within a JK-6 Northern classroom.

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is from $58.31 per hour to $69.65 per hour (approximately $113,704 - $135,817.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
