Department Information
The Department of Infrastructure (INF) provides high quality services to the public and Government of the Northwest Territories’ (GNWT) departments, boards and agencies including the planning, design, construction, acquisition, operation and maintenance of public transportation infrastructure and the buildings, works and equipment required for the GNWT to deliver its programs and services. INF makes essential petroleum products available for sale to the public where these products are not provided by the private sector, and promotes the development and increased use of energy efficient technologies. INF also regulates electrical and mechanical safety services and licenses individuals and vehicles operating in the territory.

Job Information
The Finance Revenue Officer ensures all related accounting and revenue collection function for Deh Cho Bridge tolling, Road Licensing permits and (vote 4/5) third party funding agreements are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Revenues collected and amounts invoiced are in excess of $6 million annually.
The Finance Revenue Officer is also a key contributor to the business and financial success of the Regions various Operations and Maintenance (O&M) programs. To achieve this, the position proves various clerical duties and support including computer data entry and exercises System for Accountability and Management (SAM) payment and commitment authority for amounts up to $20,000 for the procurement of Goods and Services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of GNWT FAM Policies and Directives, and organizational framework of
government - Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting development and analysis.
- Knowledge Financial administration procedures and principles.
- Customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with carriers and other staff
- Knowledge Financial administration procedures and principles.
Typically attained by.
Completion of the 2nd level of a recognized accounting program (CA, CGA, or CMA) or equivalent post-secondary education in accounting and/or financial management and five years related experience.
