Description
This driver will be responsible for completing local deliveries within the Yellowknife area in a timely manner. A normal work week will be Monday to Friday however, some flexibility in availability will occasionally be required.
Responsibilities
- Professionalism in customer service
- Load and unload goods
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
Qualifications
- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Criminal record check
- Driving record check (abstract)
