We’re back with another round of exciting updates to our Edge North Fire Map 🗺️. We’ve been working on building upon our core features and listening to your valuable feedback.

  1. Hyper-Local Air Quality Data 🌬️We have integrated PurpleAir’s air quality data into our Fire Map. Now, besides viewing the latest fire information, you can monitor how these fires are impacting the local air quality in real-time! This feature will give you a clearer understanding of the environmental situation around you and help you take necessary precautions. 🏞️
  2. Live Perimeter of Affected Areas 🔥To give you a more precise picture of the wildfires, we have introduced the display of fire perimeters on our map. You can now visually gauge the area affected by each fire.📏
  3. New Wildfire Statistics 📊Dive deeper into wildfire data with additional stats we’ve added. These include the total hectares affected (Human & Natural) and details of the oldest active fire. 📈
  4. Automatic Updates 🔄No more hitting refresh! 🔄 Our fire map now updates automatically, ensuring you always have the most current wildfire information at your fingertips.
  5. Enhanced Response Filters 🎚️We’ve included new response type filters like ‘Being Monitored,’ ‘Initial Attack,’ ‘Sustained Action,’ and ‘Limited Action.’ These filters work dynamically with fire status filters, providing more specificity to your search and information needs. 🔍
