It’s time for bargains!
Yellowknifers love to salvage, especially in the warmest months. Spring Amnesty Week at the Yellowknife Solid Waste Facility (a.k.a. the Dump, or YKea) has always been a great opportunity to get rid of the junk from spring cleaning, pick up some free finds, and support a good cause. This annual free-for-all finishes today, so there may still be some great treasures to salvage this weekend (if you’re lucky). Their hours are 10 a.m.– 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
If you’re still eager for free stuff, make sure you get a chance to drive around during the City’s Curbside Giveaway this weekend. Starting tonight at 6 p.m., place clean, gently used but unwanted items clearly marked with a FREE sign or sticker on your curb. The Curbside Giveaway ends at around dusk on Sunday. More info here.
If you’re on the hunt for garage sales this weekend, you’re in luck. Garage Sale Season is now in full swing in Yellowknife. So much so that the City has put a lot of these together for the Multiplex Indoor Garage Sale happening this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There will be over 120 tables full of used goods, so be sure to get there early and strategize.
